One practical next step

# Choose a habit that fits your life

Start with something that would make everyday life better. Notice what already works, choose a manageable action, and leave room to adjust it.

We have retired the former habit score. Its fixed points did not provide a validated measure of health or biological age. This reflection has no score or prescribed targets.

## Choose one action

Use these prompts to choose a starting point. Write your idea in the existing two-week planner or your own notes. Keep symptoms, medication details and test results in your own health records.

- **What matters to me?** Choose something you would like to make easier or more enjoyable.

- **What already works?** Start with a routine or source of support you already have.

- **What might get in the way?** Allow for time, cost, energy or other practical constraints.

- **What will I try, and when?** Choose a small action and a smaller or different backup.

## A small example

**Priority:** I want to stay in touch with a friend.

**Action:** I will call after Sunday breakfast. If we cannot talk, I will suggest another time.

**Reflection:** After two weeks, I will ask whether this fits my routine and what would make it easier.

This is a fictional planning example. Your action can be different, smaller, or something you decide to postpone.

### Why there is no score

The former checklist combined fixed thresholds using equal point deductions. Those editorial choices were not a validated assessment. A practical plan does not need a number, grade or estimated biological age.

## Try, notice and adjust

- **Choose one suitable action.** Make it manageable for your circumstances. If you are unsure whether a health-related change is suitable, discuss it with your healthcare professional.

- **Use the two-week planner.** Record what you tried and what got in the way. Two weeks is a planning interval, not a promise about results.

- **Decide what to keep.** Continue, adapt or stop the experiment based on what you learned.

Seek appropriate care for symptoms rather than waiting to complete a habit experiment. Do not change prescribed treatment to follow a general website resource.

A biomarker change or a checklist score does not establish biological age, predict lifespan or prove that a habit extends life. Use the information to prepare questions for your primary care provider.
