This Privacy Policy explains how Fruitful Years collects, uses, protects, and shares personal information when you visit fruitfulyears.com, contact us, subscribe to emails or web-push notifications, download a resource, or leave a comment.
Information we collect
Information you provide
We may collect your name, email address, message, comment, and any other information you choose to provide through our contact forms, newsletter or checklist forms, comments, or direct communications.
Please do not submit sensitive medical, financial, or identification information through general website forms.
Information collected automatically
When you use the website, our website and service providers may collect technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages visited, approximate location derived from IP address, timestamps, cookie identifiers, and website or email interaction data. We use this information to operate and secure the site, understand general usage, troubleshoot problems, and improve content and services.
How we use information
We may use personal information to:
- respond to questions and contact requests;
- deliver requested checklists, newsletters, and other resources;
- send occasional Fruitful Years updates when you have subscribed;
- manage comments and reduce spam or abuse;
- provide web-push notifications when you opt in through your browser;
- measure email delivery and engagement where supported;
- maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the website; and
- comply with legal obligations or protect our rights and users.
We do not sell or rent your personal information.
Email newsletters and checklist downloads
We use Brevo to manage email subscriptions, deliver requested resources and newsletters, process unsubscribe requests, and measure delivery or engagement where supported. Information submitted through an email or checklist form may be processed by Brevo on our behalf.
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in each email. Transactional messages needed to deliver a resource you requested may still be sent.
Web-push notifications
If you choose to allow browser notifications, Brevo/WonderPush may process a browser or device identifier, subscription status, technical information, and notification interaction data so notifications can be delivered and measured. Push notifications are optional. You can withdraw permission through your browser or device notification settings.
Comments
If comments are enabled and you leave a comment, we may collect the information shown in the comment form, along with your IP address and browser user-agent string to help detect spam. An anonymized version of your email address may be provided to the Gravatar service to determine whether you use it. After a comment is approved, a profile image associated with Gravatar may be publicly visible with the comment. See Automattic’s Privacy Policy.
Cookies and similar technologies
The website and its service providers may use cookies, local storage, pixels, or similar technologies to remember preferences, maintain security, provide forms and subscriptions, measure site or email activity, and support website features. Some cookies are necessary for the site to function. Others may be placed only when you use or permit a particular feature.
You can limit or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect website features.
Embedded content and external links
Articles may contain embedded videos, images, forms, or other content from third-party websites. Embedded content can behave as though you visited the third-party website directly. Those providers may collect data, use cookies, and monitor your interaction according to their own privacy policies.
Fruitful Years also links to external websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites.
Service providers and disclosure
We may share information only as reasonably necessary with providers that help us operate the website, including web hosting and security services, email and push-notification services, contact-form delivery, spam prevention, backups, and technical support. These providers may process information in Canada or other countries where they or their subcontractors operate, and information may therefore be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to respond to a lawful request, or to protect the security, rights, or safety of Fruitful Years, our users, or others.
How long we retain information
We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, to maintain business and security records, or to meet legal obligations. Newsletter information is generally retained until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, subject to limited suppression records needed to honour an unsubscribe request. Comments and related metadata may be retained to recognize follow-up comments and manage spam. Security logs and backups may remain for limited operational periods.
Your choices and privacy rights
You may ask whether we hold personal information about you and request access, correction, or deletion, subject to applicable law and legitimate retention requirements. You may also withdraw consent for future marketing emails or web-push notifications.
To make a privacy request, use our contact page and identify the request as a privacy matter. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the information we handle. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, providers, or legal obligations change. The “Last updated” date above shows the latest revision.
